Release of Starter Toolkits in RTC-Iligan under STEP 2023 Scholarship

On January 14, 2025, the Regional Training Center-Iligan successfully distributed starter toolkits in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I to 21 beneficiaries under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) 2023. These scholars, who completed the STEP training, received essential tools to help them begin their careers in the welding industry. The STEP program is designed to provide trainees with both the skills and the necessary equipment to enhance their employability and increase their chances of securing meaningful employment.

On January 31, 2025, Regional Training Center-Iligan was honored as the Outstanding Regional Training Center for Scholarship Implementation for FY 2024. The prestigious award was presented during the TESDA Region 10 2026 Budget Presentation and Defense, 1st Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting, and New Year's Call, held at Fairways Grill and Restaurant, Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club, Cagayan de Oro City. This recognition highlights the center's exceptional efforts in delivering quality scholarship programs and services, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in skills training and development in the region.

RTC-Iligan Graduates 47 MILF Decommissioned Combatants

On February 12, 2025, TESDA Regional Training Center - Iligan hosted a graduation ceremony in Pacalundo Balo-i, Lanao del Norte for 47 Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Decommission Combatant graduates of Bread and Pastry Production NC II (BPP NCII) and Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II (EIM NCII) under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). Distinguished guests included Abdulrahman Shiek, Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Decommission Focal in Balo-i Lanao del Norte, Sammy A. Ampang, Senior TESD Specialist, representing TESDA Provincial Director Norayah A. Acas, JD, and Victoria E. Mirador, Supervising TESD Specialist, representing Center Administrator Sittie Aliah A. Limbao, SCL, JD. Guest speakers emphasized the importance of technical skills and lifelong learning. This ceremony was more than a graduation—it was a celebration of resilience and empowerment, marking a new beginning for the graduates as they embark on meaningful careers.RTC - Iligan remains committed to providing quality technical education and skills training for a brighter future. The event also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between TESDA and various stakeholders in supporting the reintegration of former combatants into productive civilian life. By equipping them with essential vocational skills, the program aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, ultimately contributing to peace and development in the region.

86 Graduates Honored at RTC-Iligan

On February 13, 2025, RTC-Iligan celebrated the graduation of 86 trainees from the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I, SMAW NC II, and Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II programs. Center Administrator Ms. Sittie Aliah Limbao and other esteemed guests praised the graduates’ dedication and perseverance. Certificates and allowances were distributed, marking the graduates’ readiness to begin their careers. The event highlighted RTC-Iligan’s commitment to empowering individuals through technical education and fostering workforce readiness for economic growth.
