OPENING CEREMONY FOR WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION 2024
Maria Cristina, Iligan City / 2024-03-01March 1 marks the beginning of the National Women’s Month of 2024. With that, the Regional Training Center-Iligan conducted an opening ceremony to celebrate National Women’s Month. The event started with a mass ceremony headed by father priest, Melcher Alquilita, then followed with the programme proper where Acting Center Administrator, Ms. Victoria E. Mirador, Ms. Rachel C. Unson, TIS Designate, and Ms. Clavel Joy S. Pinaso, Administrative Officer V, delivered their inspirational messages in the said event. All RTC-Iligan personnel were also present during the event. The program concluded when Ms. Victoria E. Mirador, Acting Center Administrator, reminded everyone that women are extraordinary. Each one of them has a unique personality and different stories to tell. These women are amazing and have something to offer to build a better world and eradicate negativity.

Earth Month Celebration virtual program entitled “Promoting effective and environment-friendly methods in organic agriculture thru biochar making”
Regional Training Center-Iligan / 2024-04-26In line with Earth Month, the RTC Iligan conducted a program entitled: "Promoting effective and environmentally-friendly methods in ORGANIC agriculture through Bio-Char making." The program aimed to engage in meaningful and hopefully help implement effective and environmentally-friendly methods in organic agriculture through biochar making that promotes sustainability, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Among the guest speakers were Sir Nasrudin Piang Kusain, a champion of environmental causes in Mindanao and the Executive Director of Adat Betad Inc. Also another speaker is an empowering woman leader, Ma'am Suzanne Faelnar, the President of Network Empowering Transformative Societies Inc., who talked on "HOW TO BECOME TRANSFORMATIVE THROUGH THE CULTURE OF SUSTAINABILITY." Lastly, participants learnt the importance of Bio Char and it's benefits to the environment thru the head advocator of Bio Char in the Philippines, Sir Philip Camara. The new administrator of RTC - Iligan, Sittie Aliah A. Limbao, JD, SCL, felt the need to promote the environment and develop effective skills for our learners, especially in organic agriculture. Some of the participants include the Agricultural students of RTC - Iligan and students and staff of LNAIS, Salvador Training Center. The event concluded with a message from the Supervising TESD Specialist of RTC - Iligan, Victoria E. Mirador. The event was hosted by Ms. Raufel M. Sengane, TESD Specialist II and a trainer for Organic Agriculture Production NC II and Agricultural Crops Production NC II.

Conduct of Skills Training in Defensive and Basic Minor Vehicle Trouble Shooting
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at the Headquarters Coast Guard District in Cagayan de Oro City / 2024-07-03The Regional Training Center recently conducted an intensive training session titled "Defensive and Basic Minor Vehicle Troubleshooting" for 34 personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at the Headquarters Coast Guard District in Cagayan de Oro City. This essential initiative, spearheaded by TESDA 10 Regional Director Dan M. Navarro, in collaboration with the Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM), marks a significant step towards improving the operational capabilities and safety of the PCG personnel. The collaboration between TESDA 10 and CGDNM highlights a commitment to continuous learning and development within the Philippine Coast Guard. It reflects a proactive approach to addressing the evolving needs of the personnel and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively and safely. This training session is a testament to the dedication of TESDA 10 and the Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao to the continuous improvement and professional development of the Philippine Coast Guard personnel. Through such initiatives, they ensure that the personnel are not only skilled in their primary responsibilities but also prepared to tackle any challenges that come their way.
